We’re finishing up our series on Artificial Intelligence. We began by discussing if AI is good or bad, then we talked about the pros and cons of AI and last week I went over a few tips for using AI. Today, I’m going to share some of my favorite AI tools. I have been excited about this episode from the beginning of this series and I’ve been teasing it because I wanted you to tune in for it! It’s going to be like the icing on the cake, the cherry on top of the sundae. It’s going to be fantastic, especially if you use it to simplify your business processes and improve your content!
AI Tools
There are so many tools out there that it can be pretty overwhelming to know where to start. I thought it would be nice for you to have a handy list of most useful tools to remove some of the guesswork and get you started.
Purposes for AI Tools
I was using AI tools before I even realized that they were AI tools. There are AI tools for many different purposes. I did some research in order to determine what different areas you could use AI for:
- Chat
- Content Creation
- Video Creation and Editing
- Image Generation
- Knowledge Management
- Task and Productivity
- Transcription
- Scheduling
- Email Inbox Management
- Slide Decks and Presentation Creation
- Automation
Today, we’re focusing on the tools that I myself have used and that I can recommend in good conscience. I haven’t used AI for all of these purposes. So I won’t cover all of these purposes but I will share the tools that I have used that serve the purposes for which I could benefit from using AI tools.
Chat Tools
ChatGPT is the tool that I use the most and have the most experience with. I did use a couple of others because a client recommended them to me and asked me to try them and let her know which one I liked. So I tried: Claude, Gemini and Blaze. But ChatGPT remained my favorite. If I’m going to use an AI chatbot, then I’m going to use ChatGPT. You can put information in and it spits things back out at me to assist me in the writing process.
Content Creation Tools
I’ve also used 3 AI tools for Content Creation. These tools help with grammar, rewording, and spelling. The first one was one that came up highly recommended online, and that is Grammerly. I used it for a really long time. I installed it as an extension on Google Chrome and I used it for everything! That is, until my son introduced me to Quillbot. He was in college and writing a lot of papers. He insisted, “Mom! This is so much better!” So I tried it and I’ve been using it ever since. Another one is Prowriting Aid, which is a paid service that a client of mine uses, so I’ve used it for her purposes since she is a subscriber. It is very robust.
Video Editing Tools
I’ve used 2 AI tools for video editing. The first one is Descript, which does audio and video. It is an amazing tool because you can upload audio or video and it will transcribe it for you, and as you edit the text of the transcript, it edits the audio and video to match. As you delete a word, it deletes it from the audio and video. It will blow your mind! If you’ve ever tried to edit audio or video to remove all the filler words—the ah’s and ums—then you know it’s not easy! This tool will do it for you. I highly recommend it but it is a paid program.
Wondershare Filmora is also a great tool that I love. It took me a long time to learn but I do enjoy and recommend it. If you are stubborn like me and willing to take the challenge, then you will love it too.
I also used the options in Canva to create some AI generated video reels. It was very fun to play with so I recommend you try that if you haven’t already. Let me walk you through it. If you go to Canva, then create a design, and you choose the option for Instagram reels, you can go over on the left, and it’ll give you the option to generate videos instantly. You can upload media and type short descriptions to generate videos with music already synced. Twice, I uploaded some pictures and typed in what I wanted the video to be about, and it created these amazing, high-quality videos. It was incredible! I’d love for you to try it and let me know in the Facebook group!
Task and Project Management Tools
I never knew that my project management software was using AI, but apparently it is. I love using Asana and have been using it for literally years. I don’t know if I’ve used any AI pieces of it or not, because I’m not even sure what the AI components of it are. But I love it and it falls under AI.
Email Inbox Management Tools
I have used a tool for email management for years that is called Unroll.me. It reportedly uses AI technology to simplify email management, unsubscribe from newsletters and maintain inbox cleanliness. It helps me get rid of subscriptions that I no longer need or want without having to go one by one through my inbox to unsubscribe. I highly recommend Unroll.me.
Automations Tools
There are things in our businesses that would save us a ton of time and energy if we were able to automate them. Anytime I’m working for a client as a virtual assistant and they say, I need to do x, y, and z, and I know that there’s a way to automate that process, then I’m definitely going to recommend ways to do that.
A client recently needed their customers to sign up and purchase something but she needed to receive information from them after the purchase. I automated that for her with a tool, rather than having to request that information from the customers in a separate email that she has to initiate for each customer. It has saved so much time and a lot of back and forth, making the process faster and easier for her and her customers. Zapier is my favorite tool for automations like this.
Stay Connected
I’m sure there are hundreds of others, but again, I’m only sharing the AI tools that I have used and can recommend. I hope that you enjoyed this series of AI. And again, I’d love to know your favorite tools and I’d love for you to tag me in your Canva produced InstaReel!
I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on using AI, so if you’re not in The Christian Business Advantage Facebook group I’d love for you to join in there if you’re an author, speaker or coach and want to join in the conversation.
Next Week, we’ll start a brand new series! Stay tuned!
