If you are a business owner who markets your business online and you haven’t been living under a rock, then you know how important quality content is and how difficult it can sometimes be to churn out the amount of content necessary each week to market your business.
Therefore, I am sure that the idea of being able to repurpose content is one that you would be interested in. Right? I am happy to share that you can repurpose your content of all forms into other pieces of content, saving yourself so much time and brainpower. Who doesn’t need more brainpower?
So, whether you are creating Instagram stories, Facebook posts, blog posts, podcasts, videos, or Facebook Lives, you can repurpose and reuse said content in several different ways. Today, I am going to share with you five secrets to re-purposing your content.
First of all let’s talk about what content repurposing is, just in case you are not sure.
Content repurposing is when you take existing content and you change it into a different or new format to use it to further promote or monetize your business.
Now for the five secrets to repurposing your content.
Secret #1 – Think outside the box. Just because you originally create a piece of content as a video does not mean that you can’t take the video and turn it into social media posts or Instagram stories. There are now apps that will cut your videos into pieces to make IG stories instead. One such app for iPhone is Trim and Cut Video Editor Pro.
Secret #2 – Blog Posts Multiplied. You can multiply your content by using one piece of content, such as a blog post, and repurposing it into the following:
- a LinkedIn post
- an Instagram post
- a video of it by recording yourself reading the post
- audio or podcast
- an email newsletter
This is just a few of the possible ways you can repurpose your content.
Secret #3 – Facebook Lives Repurposed – Many of my clients regularly host Facebook lives. They then have me download those Facebook lives and strip the audio content from them and turn the audio into a podcast by adding an intro and outro. We also upload these videos to YouTube for another piece of content.
Secret #4 – Renew the Old – Many times, you have written a blog post or created a video years ago that you might think cannot be reused because it is outdated. This is a prime opportunity to renew the old, update the post or video with new and up-to-date information. Bring it back to life.
Secret #5 – Syndicate to Gain Traction – This is one area where I must admit I am weak, but I have done the research and know that it exists and can be taken advantage of easily. Syndication is about multiplying your content across the Internet. There are many sites that you can syndicate your content on, including:
There you have it. Multiple ways that you can repurpose content to get a better ROI (Return on Investment) for all of your content creation work. What are some ways that you have repurposed content lately? Share them with me in the comments below.

Great tips!
thanks Heather!
These are some ways that I have not thought of to repurpose my content. I typically will break up a blog post to create social media content and that’s been the extent of my knowledge. Thanks for some new tips.
