In this episode, I encourage you as you are thinking about the new year to reflect back on 2021, assess what has gone well and what you could improve, and how to make plans as you move forward.
The first step in doing so is to reflect and assess. Ask yourself several questions such as:
- How did 2020 go?
- What would you change?
- What went well?
- How would you like 2021 to look?
- How are your clients? Are they happy with your services? Are you happy with your work?
- Do you have the systems and processes in place that are working smoothly?
Next, it is important for you to take time to celebrate. You don’t even have to spend a lot of money. Simply spend some time celebrating your wins. Take a bubble bath. Buy yourself a candy bar or a new nail polish.
Then, you make a plan for the new year. Remember, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”
That is one of my favorite mantras.
As a part of your plan for 2021 be sure to take some time to adjust from what went wrong in 2020. This will require taking some time to look back. Set goals. Of course, make sure that they are realistic as you are making a plan for 2021.
