Showing Appreciation to Clients and Thankfulness in Your Business

Throughout November, we’ve reflected on ways that we can be thankful in our business by celebrating our wins, building a community, and asking for testimonials. Let’s wrap things up by talking about how we can show gratitude to our clients.

1. Express Appreciation

Thank-you Notes

One of the ways that I like to show appreciation is by writing thank-you notes or emails. This can be old school thank-you notes in the mail, or a note of thanks to your clients via email.

Special Deal

You can also offer them some sort of special deal once a year to give them a little extra thank-you.

Because I’m a virtual assistant and I work by the hour, I’ll gift my clients an extra hour on one of their packages to show appreciation to them. This will go a long way in your relationships with clients and encourage them to stick around and continue to work with you.

2. Embrace Gratitude

Let’s next think about the reasons you’re grateful for your business.

My clients are one of the reasons that I’m grateful. I’m grateful because I get to share the faith-based piece of my life with them. I have clients who will pray for me and I pray for them each week.

I invite you to write down some of the things that you’re grateful for in your work. I try to do this on a daily basis.

It could be a list of items to be grateful for, or specifically for the things in your business. For me, it would be the fact that I am able to work from a home office – with an amazing team and for amazing clients. I also have a positive relationship with clients and can share my faith.

So much of what I do is faith-based and that is a joy! It allows me to really enjoy the work that I do. I have the huge privilege and blessing of helping others pursue their mission, aligning with their purpose and calling in life.

Consider writing down some things that you’re grateful for in your work. Think about ways that you can show gratitude to your own clients.

3. Look Back on Your Journey

Look back on the journey that you’ve had so far in your business, whether you’ve been in business for a long time or you are just getting started. I’m sure you’ve grown, no matter what stage of business you are in!

Part of having a business is how we grow, evolve, and change while moving forward with exciting projects and new clients.

Take the time this week to reflect on the things that you have accomplished in your business, the clients that you have gained, and the experiences that you have been able to enjoy.

4. Take Action

Take action this week and thank at least one client in a unique or special way.

Show your appreciation by sending them an email, giving them a bonus resource, or sharing an extra hour of your time and services. Even if it’s a handwritten note and mailed, be sure to thank someone that you are working with to make them feel special.

Upcoming December Series

For the month of December, I will be doing something different and sharing some of the greatest hits from 2024! That means, you’ll hear the top four episodes from this year on the podcast!

So I hope you’ll tune in to those episodes, gain some extra clarity, or learn something new if you’re a recent visitor and missed them when they officially aired!
